4 Tips to Get the Most Out of Your Work Day. (Tips to Feel Proud of Yourself at the End of Day)

Do you have days at work where you feel you’ve worked a lot but achieved very less? Days where you feel busy but your productivity still remains low? Chances are that you need to make some adjustments in the way you handle your day and your tasks. Try these tips for 7 days and see how you effortlessly achieve more, & feel less burnt out at the end of the day:


1.  ‘Eat the Frog’: You might have heard this phrase before; it’s a time management strategy where you begin working on the most difficult or important task first. Good news – we’ve tried it and it works great in mentally freeing us (now that the tasks you dread the most is out of your to-do list) and also building up the momentum. 

 

2.  Take Short Breaks: Trust us when we say breaks are so underrated. Any time you feel stuck (breaking your head over some hard task) or stressed – take a short break. Do something enjoyable & light hearted or simply allow yourself to just be, and do nothing. Also, be mindful to not go overboard and turn a 15 minute break into an hour break!



 

3.  Allocate Time for Each Task: When you make a to-do list (which you should start doing if you don’t do it yet) in the beginning of the day, allocate the time(a rough estimate) to complete each  task, and try to stick to it. The main goal of this is to avoid spending more time than needed on a task.

 

4.  Avoid Distractions & Stay Focused on the Task: Last, but not the least – make a list of all the things that distract you while you work. It could be notifications on your phone (that you don’t have to attend to right away), a cluttered work desk (yes, that could be distracting!), a coworker who starts a random conversation with you, and so on. Figure out ways to cut out distractions and keep your focus fixed only on the task you’re currently doing.

 

Applying productivity tips like these can actually help you improve your work day – in terms of how much you achieve, and how you feel at the end of the day. We hope you try these steps out and create better work days for yourself.
