5 Tips to Achieve A Healthy Work-Life Balance during Ramadan

  1. Eat a Well Balanced Suhoor Meal: Since Suhoor is the most crucial meal of the day during Ramadan, try your best to not skip it. Have a well balanced Suhoor meal that will keep you energized in the coming hours when you’ll be fasting & working! Include healthy options like oats, chia seeds, fruit smoothies, Greek yogurt, dates, cucumber, avocado and such similar foods.
  2. Plan Your Workdays Ahead: Planning the tasks you have to do the next day can relieve you a lot of stress and mental energy. With proper planning, it will be easier for you to move from one task to another when you’re fasting on your work day.
  3. Manage your Energy Levels Wisely Through Out the Day: Reschedule your tasks based on your energy levels - make the best use of your peak energy times by assigning the hardest or most important tasks for that time. Also, avoid activities that require more energy. For example, you could choose virtual meetings instead of meeting in person whenever possible.
  4. Stop Eating Foods that Drain Your Energy : Minimize having salty and deep fried foods that will make you feel thirsty and heavy later on. Instead, try to include more fruits in your diet that will keep you hydrated for longer. Try to avoid caffeinated beverages as well.
  5. Create a Daily Schedule Exclusively for Ramadan: Quit following your old patterns and schedules for your daily life. Take some time out to arrange and rearrange your tasks and priorities so that you are able to better manage and take care of your work priorities and personal life.
